Since having the twins I have been asked multiple times what are my must have baby items. So I decided to make a list for all of you wanting to know the answer to this question. We definitely went all out on baby items this time around some helped a ton and others not so much. So here we go, in no particular order.

- Baby Brezza (aka bottle maker) I know a lot of you reading this will choose to breast feed so this item would be useless for you. But for us mamas that decided to formula feed this item is a must have, with Twins we make about 8 bottles a day that’s 56 a week! This machine is like a coffee Keurig for bottles. Perfect temperature, and exact mixture of formula and water and you don’t have the huge mess that comes with mixing a bottle up normally.
- Twin Z Nursing Pillow. I know I said before I didn’t nurse but we still use/used this pillow a ton. We used it to set sleeping babies, to prop bottles and feed, now we are using it to help the girls sit up, this item has definitely been a staple baby item in our home.
- TWO good swings. We started out with 1 traditional swing and 1 Mamaroo, when the babies first came home from the hospital they didn’t seem to have a preference of one or the other. But as time progressed they both wanted to be in the traditional swing. This is definitely a kid by kid basis so it is hard to prep ahead of time not knowing what preference they will have but we ended up reselling the Mamaroo and getting another traditional swing. Our girls loved the swings, definitely lifesavers during the day giving us the ability to lay babies down.
- Dock-A-Tot the girls loved their Dock-A-Tots, they slept great in them also they are easy to take with you places when you travel and want a place the babies are used to sleeping in.
- Good swaddle/wraps we found that the Swaddle Me original Swaddles worked best for us, I definitely contribute the girls sleeping through the night at 2 months old to these swaddles. However I know this varies by child as my first baby didn’t want anything to do with being swaddled. The twins slept with a swaddle until they were 6 months old.
- Easy to use double stroller that carries two infant car seats. We purchased the Graco DuoGlider Double Stroller. This one has worked really well for us.
- Good sound machine with a nightlight. We have one positioned between the girls that helps during the night if one wakes up.
- Baby Thermometer you will be taking baby temperates often. I did a lot of research to find a good one before deciding on which one we would purchase, but you definitely want one with accurate readings.
- Bumbo Seats with treys. The girls are in that in between stage where they aren’t quite ready for high chairs but still want to sit up and be a part of things. I use the bumbos for feeding time, play time, and just time when you want to set the babies down and still keep them close to you.
So that is it for my list of must haves. Here are a couple of honorable mentions. These are items we purchased but we did not use like I had hoped or expected
- Owlet baby monitors (I really don’t know why but we just did not use these like I had expected us to)
- Halo Bassinet (was only used for less then 2 months and then babies went in their own room in their cribs)
- Joovy Room2 Playyard with Twin Nursery Center (used the twin nursery center for about 2 months and haven’t used since, however I plan on bringing this back out when the babies become mobile so we can contain them for play time)
